Fritid & Samfund

Fritid&Samfund has a special expertise in the development and encouragement of an active citizenship. The organisation has in the last decade been working with the question about how you can develop a citizenship, which can function on both a local level, a national level and on a European level. We have made research studies about the subject, have written books and articles and have been partner in national and international projects. It is a stated objective for the organisation to contribute to the development of a European citizenship, that can help to make a better correlation between the citizens in the European countries.

Fritid&Samfund also provide courses in improvement of the local democracy, network management and empowerment of the citizens in the rural areas. The organisation is working at national-, regional- and local levels and have many different collaborators all over the country.

Fritid&Samfund was also the promoter of the Grundtvig project Strengthening participative democracy through collaborative learning (229984-CP-1-2006-1-DK-G11PP), which was funded from 2006-08.
